The Katran companies group was established in 1994 under the state law regarding private detective and protective services. At the present moment the company numbers over 700 employees. Most of them hold government awards, or they are candidates for or masters of sports in boxing, wrestling, martial arts, and shooting. All the Katran employees go through special training and improve their professional skills all the time.

Today Katran companies group works with more than 100 clients, including Russian and foreign companies, state organizations and individuals. The company received special thanks for diligent and professional performance from the President’s Administrative Department, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Department of Internal Affairs of Basman District of Moscow, the Department of Licensing of the General Department of Internal Affairs in Moscow, the Chief-commander of the Russian Navy, the Chief of the General Department of Extra-departmental Security of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Chechen Republic, the Administration of the Army Central Sports Club, Central Education Board of Moscow District and many other clients.

A sister company was opened in Saint-Petersburg in May, 2006. Today the Saint-Petersburg branch numbers about 150 employees and provides services to 25 establishments.
